Brief Outline of Experience

Mr. Harms is a Shareholder practicing in the Firm’s Family Law Services Department. His experience includes business valuations for family law, litigation, estate and gift tax purposes, tracing and allocation of funds through the application of case law, analysis of reimbursement claims, allocation and apportionment of interests in real property, determination of income available for support, and marital standard of living. Mr. Harms has testified on family law matters in Sacramento County, Placer County and San Joaquin County.

Mr. Harms is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) as designated by the California Board of Accountancy. He has also received the designation Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Harms is also an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) as designated by the American Society of Appraisers. Mr. Harms received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Economics with an Emphasis in Accounting from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
